entitled "Documents Obtainedrief, Preliminary Sampling of the Documentary Evidence of Communiat Infiltration and Influence in Guatemala"

document does not appear to indicate any directof CIA in the recent revolution in Guatemala. It does show an almost instaneous post-revolution penetration of the Guatemalan The obvious extent of the "penetration" would lead to the natural conclusion that it was with the consent of the government leaders obtained as the resultong and intimate association.

There are no apparent reasons why this document should not be given to Mr. Leslie H. Mitchell. It does not, however, in itself appear to be an impressive demonstration of the degree of Communist infiltration in Guatemala prior to the recent revolution. Future studies of this type may better demonstrate the degree of infiltration and they might likewise be released to Mr. Mitchell.
